After checking out of the hotel, Julie and I went to Capistrano Bight to see the ocean. And while we'd been in California 4 days, we hadn't really been outside, except to drive. So, we found a narrow, rocky beach and trekked to the water's edge, took off our shoes, and proceeded the last 5 feet across these really sharp rocks to get our feet wet.
Now, what we thought would be ankle deep waters turned out to be crotch deep once a 3 ft swell that seemed harmless enough broke and tumbled up
the shore to where we stood. These naturally would no longer be the clothes we wearing on the airplane. We took pictures our ourselves soaking wet and sunning so we could pleasure our friends back home on Facebook with shots of our OC adventure.
As our adventure was coming to a close, we decided to visit the park where we'd been that weekend for a bbq, which had picnic tables, bathrooms and a view of the harbor -- our last chance to straighten up before heading to the airport.
